Furnace Maintenance Cleaning

Regardless of make and model, nearly all furnace manufacturers require that their systems be cleaned annually in order to maintain warranty coverage. They realize how a lack of proper maintenance can damage the vital components within the units. This is why manufactures include a maintenance requirement within their warranties and failure to complete the cleanings regularly will result in loss of coverage.
When Should I Do Furnace Maintenance?
- For Furnaces - perform maintenance/cleaning once a year during the Fall (before the cold weather hits)
Gas Furnace Clean & Check
- Inspect Furnace burner assembly - clean as needed
- Inspect and clean Furnace flame sensor
- Inspect ignition system and safety controls - clean as needed
- Inspect Furnace blower assembly
- Check Amperage draw and electrical connections
- Inspect Heat Exchanger for cracks, rust and CO leaks
- Inspect Flue system - check for proper attachment to the furnace, any dislocated sections and for signs of corrosion
- Inspect Furnace air filter - replace customer provided filter
- Inspect control box, associated controls, wiring and connections
